FASTER PUSSYCAT KILL KILL

I was recently asked to contribute to a group show at Outre Gallery called ‘A League of Their Own’ - a showcase of loveable misfits, bad ass legends and vociferous villains. I couldn’t go past the iconic Varla (Tura Satana), Billie (Lori Williams) and Rosie (Haji) from Russ Meyers 1965 cult classic, Faster Pussycat Kill Kill. Shot in black and white, such classic scenes and styling, with the best one liners.

The original painting on plywood sold but due to an overwhelming response I have released a limited edition of giclee prints available from A3+ to A0 size in the online store. So now you can now take legends Tura, Lori and Haji home with you. :)

'JUNGLE GIRLS' PRINT LAUNCH

It's exotica hour in the jungle! Can't you hear the bongos and bird calls? This is a print taken from a large original painting on canvas.

Giclee prints available from A3+ up to A0 poster size (holding A2 size in third pic). Printed on 300gsm natural Cotton Rag Art Paper using archival inks. Limited edition of 100 and each edition is hand numbered and signed.

Such sad news about the recent death of a true music icon, David Bowie. I could bang on about him and his music for days but decided to draw this instead. China Girl now available as a limited edition giclee print in the shop.

BUILT TO SPILL

I recently had the pleasure of designing a poster for Built To Spill's latest Australian tour by Feel Presents. Built to Spill are an American indie rock band that formed in the 90's and are touring their latest album, 'Untethered Moon'. I wanted to go with a comic book cover space theme. I always love to be able to combine my love of illustration and hand drawn type, and even better a space girl. Inspired by the lovely Jean Shrimpton.

This was my entry for the Global Talent search. The brief was to create a piece of Wall Art with 'Little Terrariums' as the theme. it was a pretty open brief but had to include one word of text.
